Peter Munguti holds an MBA in Strategic Management, Moi University. He joined BTL in 1997 as the Resources Development Officer and later became the Resources Development Manager with overall oversight on resource mobilization, church engagement and partnerships. From 2004 to September 2010 he served as the Finance and Administration Manager. He was appointed the General Secretary (National Director) of BTL in October 2010.

Peters vision is to strengthen BTL as an organisation to effectively work with local communities in Kenya and the East Africa region to carry out Scripture engagement, Bible translation and language development for holistic transformation. He would like to see work started in the remaining languages in Kenya by the year 2018 as BTL seeks to accomplish Vision 2025.
