Praise God, the 12th edition of Run for the Bibleless was a success. It was held on 2nd March 2019 along Uhuru Gardens with over 10,000 people in attendance! BTL’s National Director, Peter Munguti in his Facebook Post, could not hide his joy at the commitment of the participants that they have had over the different editions of the Run in the past years.
“I am always touched by your love and commitment to this course. I could not help but notice some very special people who braved the morning to be with us; some on wheelchairs, some pushing little ones on trolleys. You are such a blessing. Because of you, the Giryama and Tharaka people groups are going to receive their complete Bibles in April and June respectively!”
We are grateful to God for bringing you our way and you for making this year’s run eventful. Blessings! Run 2019
*Run for the Bibleless was started in the year 2008 with the aim of raising funds through registrations and creating awareness about BTL’s mission of facilitating Bible translation and sustainable literacy among small language groups in Kenya. It is an annual event that brings together both the young and the old. The event which is a 10km Run or 5km walk attracts participants from churches, schools, universities, mission agencies and corporate organizations. For the last 10 years, we have seen Run for the Bibleless grow in leaps and bounds. Through strategic partnerships with local media stations and via social media, the Run has over the past reached a wide audience within the country and beyond.
